Our History.
In 1978 a group of people who appreciated and collected tiny things met at The Christmas Corner in St. Elmo with the purpose of organizing a club to promote miniatures in the Chattanooga area. Some of those in attendance were Marge Reisman, Pat Maffat, Lee Parham (owner of the Christmas Corner), Carol Lindsey, Marge and Ralph Berning, Larry and Becky Lipscomb, and others. Chattanooga Miniature Society was formed! Since we were a large group with diverse interests The Mountain City Miniature Club was also formed. We all enjoyed meeting and making miniatures and in 1984 a group of members decided to host a day of classes, sales, fun and friendship at a local motel. We made centerpieces and donated door prizes. Such a good time was had that this became an annual event held in the spring called Fun Day. The club continues to meet monthly and hold our annual Fun Day. We are looking to the future of this wonderful creative community!
